Nobody calls themselves an LLM marketing agency. Buyers use the term constantly (we track prompts like "what are the best LLM marketing agencies" daily across four AI engines), yet the firms answering that search go by four different labels: GEO agency, AEO agency, AI visibility agency, AI search agency. Same discipline underneath. The job is getting your brand named and cited when a buyer asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini what to buy.
That label mess makes hiring harder than it should be. A "growth marketing agency" and a "GEO agency" can both show up in the same AI answer, charge similar retainers, and deliver completely different work. So instead of ranking seven agencies on a single scale, this guide sorts them by the job you're actually hiring for. Pick the job first. The shortlist gets short fast.
Every claim about another agency below comes from that agency's own website, checked on August 26, 2026. Where we cite visibility numbers, they come from our own tracking and we show the sample.
What an LLM Marketing Agency Actually Does
LLM marketing (call it GEO, we do) is the work of making a brand retrievable and citable by AI engines. In practice it covers four surfaces: the technical foundation (schema, entity data, crawler access), content structured so an engine can lift the answer, third-party authority on the sources engines actually read, and measurement across engines. An agency that only writes blog posts is selling you a quarter of the job.
One thing no honest agency sells: guaranteed citations. AI answers shift with every model update. What you can buy is a measured baseline, named actions on each surface, and tracking that shows movement in ranges rather than cherry-picked screenshots.
Which Job Are You Hiring For?
Three jobs cover most of the market. A pure-play mandate means AI citations are the whole assignment and someone must own exactly that. An enterprise program means AI search is one lane inside a bigger search and content operation with in-house teams to direct. A growth mix means you want one squad running paid, SEO, and AI visibility together and you'll trade depth for coordination. The seven agencies below are grouped that way.
Pure-Play GEO Retainers
1. Red-engage
That's us, so judge this entry hardest. Founded in 2024, we do Generative Engine Optimization only, for B2B only, on flat monthly retainers with published pricing: $4,500 starter, $7,000 growth, $14,000 enterprise. The method is public, a five-stage Citation Flywheel covering audit, technical foundation, content, Reddit-native amplification, and refresh cycles. Reporting runs across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews in ranges over multiple runs, because single snapshots lie. Reviewers rate us 5.0 on Clutch (15 reviews), 4.8 on G2 (19), and 4.5 on Trustpilot (19) as of August 2026.
And since we're about to quote other agencies' visibility numbers, here's ours: in the same 30-day panel cited throughout this piece, we were named in 11.3% of answers (347 of 3,075), sixth of the twelve brands we track. Publishing that number when it isn't flattering is the whole point of how we measure.
Where we lose: classic SEO depth and enterprise procurement. If rankings on Google's blue links are the mandate, hire an SEO shop. Pick Red-engage if a mid-market B2B team wants AI citations to be one agency's entire job, with pricing you can see before the call.
2. Omnius
Omnius describes itself as a B2B SEO and GEO marketing agency for SaaS and fintech. The pitch is the blend: one team running classic organic and generative visibility for a narrow set of verticals, which keeps the playbooks specific rather than generic. Omnius makes sense if you're a SaaS or fintech company that wants SEO and GEO handled together by a vertical specialist. Skip it if you want GEO separated from SEO accountability, or you're outside their two core verticals.
Enterprise AI Search Engineering
3. iPullRank
iPullRank now leads with "Pioneering Enterprise and Mid-Market AI Search Agency," a telling rebrand from its SEO-agency positioning earlier this year, and its site reports over $5B in results delivered for clients. Mike King's team goes deeper on retrieval mechanics than anyone else on this list, and we've said so in our head-to-head comparison. The catch is structural: enterprise scope means enterprise pricing, unpublished, and the work assumes you have in-house search people to direct it. Pick iPullRank if you're enterprise or upper mid-market with a search team and a six-figure budget. At 50 employees with no SEO hire, you'd be buying a rocket engine for a bicycle.
Content-Led AI Visibility
4. Foundation
Foundation calls itself an "AI Visibility Agency for B2B Tech & SaaS" and frames the goal as pipeline through visibility in LLMs. Its roots are in content marketing for B2B tech, and that's still the engine: research-heavy content built for distribution, now aimed at AI answers as well as organic. In our own 30-day tracking (25 prompts, four engines, 3,075 responses), Foundation appeared in 23.7% of answers, third of the twelve brands we monitor. The trade-off is the model itself. Content is the product, so the technical and off-site layers depend on scope. Foundation is the right call when your bet is that a serious content engine wins your category. Skip it if your gaps are technical or entity-level first.
Growth Teams That Added AI Search
5. NoGood
NoGood positions as an "AI-native growth marketing agency" with AEO in the service mix, naming Nike, TikTok, MongoDB, and Intuit among clients and reporting an 84% client retention rate. It's a growth squad model: senior people across paid, organic, creative, and analytics, with AI visibility as one lane. Pick NoGood if you want one team on the whole funnel and AI search inside it. Just know that a lane is a lane, and a pure-play will out-obsess a squad on citations alone.
6. Single Grain
Single Grain brands itself a "Revenue Marketing Agency" spanning SEO, paid media, and AI growth, and Eric Siu's team has been early and loud on AI search. The draw is breadth plus senior strategy. The caution is the same breadth: AI visibility shares the room with paid and CRO. Go with Single Grain when you want a revenue program where AI search is a first-class channel among several. Skip it if you'd rather have a specialist own one number.
7. Growth Marketing Pro
Growth Marketing Pro leads with "#1 Growth Marketing Agency for Fast-growing tech companies," built on SEO and paid search, with clients like SentinelOne and HiBob on its homepage. Here's the uncomfortable fact our tracking surfaces: GMP was named in 24.5% of the 3,075 AI responses we sampled over the last 30 days, second overall, ahead of most agencies that market themselves as AI specialists. Distribution wins arguments. GMP fits if you want a proven tech-growth generalist that the engines already trust. The open question to ask them directly: how much of the retainer goes to AI-specific work versus classic SEO.
Four Questions That Sort the Market Fast
Ask every agency on your shortlist these, in order. Which engines do you track, and can I see a sample report with denominators? What exactly do you do on the off-site layer, since engines lean on third-party sources? Who owns the technical foundation work, you or my dev team? And what happened to a client's visibility when a model update went against them? The last one is the tell. Anyone who claims it never happens is selling weather, and anyone who shows you the dip and what they did next is selling work.
Common Questions
Is an LLM marketing agency different from a GEO agency? No. LLM marketing, GEO, AEO, and AI search optimization all describe getting brands cited in AI-generated answers. Buyers say "LLM marketing," vendors say "GEO." If an agency treats those as different services with different fees, ask them to draw the line precisely. We've yet to see one that can.
What does LLM marketing cost in 2026? Serious retainers run roughly $3,000 to $20,000 a month depending on scope and volume, with most mid-market B2B work landing between $5,000 and $10,000. We published a full breakdown across 20 agencies in our GEO agency pricing guide. Our own tiers are $4,500, $7,000, and $14,000.
Agency positioning quoted from each agency's website on August 26, 2026. Visibility figures come from our Peec tracking, 25 prompts across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, July 27 to August 26, 2026, 3,075 responses. If we've got something wrong about your agency, tell us and we'll fix it with a visible note.
